As we sat on the furnished terrace, sipping our coffee and breathing in the crisp Icelandic air, we couldn't help but marvel at the stunning view of the Hallgrímskirkja Church just 100 metres away. It felt like we had a private, up-close view of this iconic landmark, and it made our stay truly memorable.

The location of the guesthouse was perfect, being very close to the center of Reykjavik and within walking distance of the famous Hallgrimskirkja church. It was also conveniently located near the BSI bus station and the harbor.

The only drawback was that the shower cubicles took a while to drain, which was a bit inconvenient.

I recently stayed at a guesthouse in Reykjavik for my trip to Iceland. The staff at Eric The Red were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist me. When my airport transfer didn't show up, they called a taxi for me and even paid the bill. The room was clean and quiet, and the breakfast was delicious. I really appreciated their hospitality and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Iceland.

    100% Recommend this hotel.

What a charming and unique guesthouse! The decor and art gave it a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that was a refreshing change from the typical "clean and sleek" hotels. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the city near landmarks and great food options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and we loved meeting fellow travelers during mealtime. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a lovely view of the garden. And can we talk about the powerful shower? Amazing! Oh, and let's not forget Raggie, the adorable ginger cat who made our stay even more enjoyable. I can't find a single fault with this guesthouse. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The hosts were helpful and accommodating, and the single room with ensuite was great value, comfortable, clean, and quiet. Basic facilities like a kettle and access to a full kitchen were provided, and the location was ideal for exploring the city and catching transportation.

The location of the guesthouse was perfect for exploring the city, with stores, museums, and restaurants all within a short walking distance. The host was incredibly helpful and provided useful information on tours and the best places to eat. The apartment itself was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

The room we stayed in was small and cold, even with the heater on. We also missed out on breakfast as it started at 8am, which conflicted with our tour schedule.

With a bus stop just outside, getting around Reykjavik is a breeze. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with plenty of natural light. Great breakfast with a variety of options, including freshly baked bread and delicious spreads. Convenient location, just a short walk away from popular attractions and restaurants. Enjoyed the comfortable beds and hot showers.

Room was not adequately cleaned upon arrival, had to request a re-do. Bathroom was outdated and in need of renovation.

I recently had a fantastic stay at a guesthouse in Reykjavik. The location couldn't have been better, as it was very close to the city center and right across from a bus stop which made it convenient for joining tours. The staff at the hotel were incredibly helpful, especially in assisting with reservations and providing recommendations. The rooms were well-equipped and had all the necessary amenities, including a shared bathroom and a balcony. Additionally, the breakfast included freshly baked bread, which was a delightful touch. I highly recommend this hotel for its value for money and attention to detail.

The only minor downside was the outdated TV, which was practically unusable. However, this did not detract from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Great location and friendly service. Loved the communal breakfast table, met travelers from all over and the food was fantastic. We wished there were blackout curtains in our room and more places to hang our clothes, but overall we recommend this guesthouse.
